Cary was raised in Lake Arrowhead, California and graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accountancy concentration.
Cary is a CFA® charterholder, CPA, holds the Series 7 and 66 registrations through LPL and is a California Life, Accident and Health Insurance licensed agent, California Insurance License #0I03698. In his spare time Cary enjoys spending time with his family, friends and doing anything outdoors.
Lady
OFFICIAL ALTUM MASCOT
Lady comes from a long line of good-dogs. Responsibilities include greeting all who meet her with a smile and a tail wag. Lady was rescued in 2018 from a shelter in Palm Springs and has been an integral team member ever since.
She spends most of the day seeking belly rubs or taking one of her many naps. In her spare time she loves long walks, chasing squirrels and capitalizing on her puppy dog eyes.

Long before I became a CPA, I learned to pay attention.
My early childhood was marked by chaos and instability. As a CODA, a child of deaf adults, I grew up hyper-aware of the people around me, constantly scanning for signs of safety, learning to read rooms before I could read books. Life could shift quickly, and not always for the better.
When I was five, my grandparents stepped in to raise me, and for the first time I could exhale. They gave me the stability I had never had, and the kind of love that didn’t have to be earned. They showed me what consistency looks like, what compassion sounds like, and what it truly means to show up for others with integrity.
They did everything “right”. They worked hard, sacrificed their entire lives, and built their home from the ground up. But the financial guidance they received over the years was generic. Their taxes were treated like an annual obligation instead of part of a larger plan. No one was looking ahead. No one was watching for opportunities. No one was asking whether there were better choices to make while there was still time to make them.

Watching two of the most generous, responsible people I’ve ever known be overlooked changed everything for me. Accounting, tax preparation, tax planning, and payroll can look routine from the outside. But inside those details live someone’s business, someone’s family, someone’s future. A missed deadline, unclear books, or unanswered questions carries weight that reaches far beyond the paperwork.
Altum Financial is my answer to that.
I spent my childhood staying alert — anticipating, scanning, trying to catch problems before they arrived. I am building Altum so my clients never have to live that way with their finances. Here, attention is not a courtesy. It is the work itself. Tax planning happens all year, not just in April. The books stay clear. The questions get asked, and the opportunities get found while they can still make a difference.
